Some Helpful Hints in Preparing for the Shoot
- Do not wear regular or sun glasses prior to a shoot. Glasses leave small marks on the sides of the nose.
- If you must wear glasses then you might wish to pad them so not to leave marks.
- Unless you are wearing long sleeves and pants do not wear any garment with elastic around the wrists or,
if seen in the photo, your ankles.
- Consider bringing several changers of clothing suitable for the type / style of shots you are seeking.
- Wrist watches leave a white mark on your arm if worn while tanning. Try to avoid this as well.
- Make sure your clothes are clean, appropriate to the characters you want to play and ready to shoot.
- Try to avoid clothing with distracting patterns.
- If you like, set aside a few CDs to bring on the shoot. Ones that will make you want to get up and move around.
- Do not shave just prior to the shoot. Do this at least an hour or more before hand. This gives the facial skin
a chance to relax and any razor burn to dissipate.
- Depending on the type of shoot and since I do not have a regular stylist on hand, if you feel it necessary
you might wish to bring someone with you. Better yet, you might want to do your own.
- If possible, don't forget to get a good night's rest before the shoot. If you feel tired and sluggish it's going
to show in the shots no matter how much retouching is done.
- Most of all this should be fun! When you arrive at your photo session be relaxed and full of energy.

and your energy and personality will automatically show through.
